Works teams
Only Level 1 or 2 teams can become works teams. Works teams are able to buy their cars for a slightly cheaper price than normal.
Entry fees
Level 1 and 2 teams can pay a one-off entry fee of $250,000 to automatically enter all their cars in every race. This also makes them eligible to score championship points. Teams that don't pay the fee (as well as Level 3 and 4 teams) will have to pay a $35,000 entry fee per race and cannot score championship points.
Weight reductions
To simulate the corruption of the WTCC in the 80's, an RNG will be run for every car before every round. If a certain value is generated, all cars entered will be given a weight reduction for the next race. Another RNG will be run after the race giving them a 65% chance of being caught cheating. If they are caught, they will be disqualified from the round. Teams can decide to opt out of this system if they so wish, and can change their minds at any time. They get to keep their results in this way, but will get no weight reduction.
Bribing stewards
Works team will have an opportunity to bribe the stewards if they get chosen by the RNG. For a $10,000 fee per car, the post race disqualification RNG will not be run for them, and they will thus not be disqualified if they cheated and reduced the weight of their cars.
Privateer teams may bribe the stewards also, but they must negotiate with their works teams to do so. Privateer teams can pay up to $5,000 to the works teams and works teams can then pay $3,000 per car to have the privateer's cars ignored by the disqualification RNG.
It will be the works teams' responsibility to inform privateers of potential cheating.
Protests
Teams may protest the results of any round at any time afterwards. This will cost $10,000 in legal fees for each protest.
If unsuccessful, it will cost them nothing extra the first time. However, the second time, they will incur a $10,000 fine, the third time a $50,000 fine, and after the fourth time they will be banned for the rest of the season.
If the protest is successful, the team will get their legal fees back. If a team launches a protest, the odds of the RNG disqualifying them increases from 65% to 90%. If a bribe is in effect, the odds are only 20%.
Championship Standings
Points structure
The points structure applies for both the overall championship and for the separate divisions. Therefore, a car that wins both the race overall and its division scores 40 points and so on.
