Latvian Matthias Valsattis follows his brother into Motorsport, following Masta's Formula 1 success between 2003-2010.
The 19 year-old only started racing two years ago, winning the French F3 Championship in 2011 and again in 2012. This year he has competed all season for MA-Racing in British F3.
After a difficult opening to the season where he failed to qualify, the youngster has gradually found his feet in the demanding series. His first points for 9th came in the 4th race at Brands Hatch, his first podium for 3rd arrived at Oulton Park at race 6 and finally took his maiden win in round 10 at a wet Brands Hatch. He finished the season with a respectable 53 points, placing 8th in the standings.
For 2014, Valsattis moves with MA-Racing into F1RWRS. The series sees more teams and drivers, pre-qualifying and International circuits. This will seriously test the youngster, but the team are confident he can deliver.
