The 1999 F1 Challenge Championship season was the third and final season of F1 Challenge Championship. The season introduced nations and tyres championship, but the series was abruptly cancelled after the qualifying session of the Spanish Grand Prix, leaving Daniel Melrose as the unofficial champion of the series. The unofficial champion for constructors, nations, and tyres were Williams, Australia, and Renault respectively.
New rules meant that the number of drivers that could be signed up for a particular team was expanded to three. All teams, with the exception of Ferrari, ran under the rule. Engines, Nations and Tyres Championships were also inaugurated.
