Group Lotus was a racing team that competed in the F1RWRS during the 2012 F1RWRS season. The team was formed by Dany Bahar after he failed to secure a takeover of Renault in Formula One. The team quickly hired Richie White to drive and was granted a late entry into the 2012 season. Despite scoring a podium finish in its only season of existence, Group Lotus did not adopt the rule changes to the F1RWRS after 2012 and withdrew from the sport. Rumors about a possible return in 2015 were never substantiated.
