Early Career

After travelling down to Australia for a holiday, Blog went into karts in Australia at karting. With not much money to spend on repairs, Blog struggled in Australia with racing not going his way. Three seasons at karts not getting any offers for the Samoan and went back to his home country in late 1988. For Blog, three years of driving wasn't enough for his confidence. His racing career was over before it even begun, that was until a surprise offer came from Aussie Motorsport.

First retirement

After retiring from motorsport, Maea Blog stayed in Australia to go into politics as an independent for Victoria. But the world of politics would be a dangerous game with him coming last in his seat of Seymour in the 2006 state election in Victoria before another fail attempt in the general elections only one year later in 2007. After that fail attempt in politics, he got married with an unknown woman who he meet at a pub and had two kids (Matthew and Ayesha).
