Report:

Pastor Maldonado crowns himself the undisputed champion of Formula One in 2019.

Venezuela is not a country in a good position; their economy is struggling, their international status has dropped significantly and even their puppet state Tropico is expected to brake away soon. All of this did not stop anyone who even remotely could afford it to make their way to Mexico.

This investment was rewarded, as Venezuela’s greatest sportsman secured the F1 World Championship with a second place. Even though he was gifted the position by a meltdown by the Precisions and nearly spun out of the race near the end of it, costing him the win, he did the job and now has an insurmountable lead.

Dean Stoneman, who won the race and therefore helped Sauber secure their second Constructor’s Championship, was his sole rival and he failed to make up enough ground, needing at least five points difference between himself and the expected #1 driver at the Swiss sports squad.

Precision’s awful late-stage race means that Caterham have made up 18 points on them and with chaotic rainstorms expected to affect the season finale in Brazil, you will have to wonder whether the CWG-owned outfit can steal second in the team’s rankings after all, which would turn Precision’s season into an even bigger disappointment.
